Sandy and Dave promised and delivered, and more! They were on time, under estimate, and included much-appreciated extras, including a car wash, removal of tape residue, and reattachment of carpet. This is the best car repair facility I've dealt with in over half a century. 5 stars doesn't do them justice!

Chilton replaced my front bumper.
It took over a week for the work to be done and when I picked my car up the bumper wasn't aligned correctly with the right wing of the car and the wheel arches. It wasn't off my a lot, but there were gaps between the wheel arch and the panel where there were none before the accident. Since they'd just charged my insurance an arm and a leg I thought the work should be better.
The woman at the front desk took a picture and said they'd contact me the next day. I waited 3 days and nothing happened. I called "John" who was the "if its not a 10 call me" guy and he arranged for me to come in again. They attempted a quick "fix" (we'll just take it around the back...) and it wasn't any different.
So we scheduled more work and it was back in the shop for another 3 days. I picked it up at 4:30 and the woman at the front desk clearly wanted to close up for the day and didn't appear to care at all. The bumper was even worse this time - on BOTH sides. I asked them to call me the next day (she literally shut and locked the door on the me) to see what we could do. 3 more days, no call.
So poor work, a hostile and/or inept receptionist and very poor customer service. I would not recommend using this shop for any repair. -

Chilton just took in my Denali last month for damage to the hood. Their estimate for the repair was fair and they were able to schedule my work quickly. Overall I can say they did great work, were on-time, dealt with the insurance company, and the car came back looking right the first time. I recommend Chilton San Mateo, I hope I dont need to go back for more car damage but would go back and see them again.

Stay away! It took them way to long to get my car done costing me 1000.00 in costs the instance company didn't pay for AND 389.00 to have someone remove the oily finger prints from my headliner. Seems they lack in workmanship, commitment to quality, and quality
